Hello, and thank you for taking a moment of your time to visit my page! If you are here, you are either curious about, or interested in being a patient of mine. My name is Michelle and I am a senior dental hygiene student at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. I am passionate about oral healthcare and am so excited to be sharing my knowledge with my community! As my class enters our final year in our program, we are expected to find our own patients that meet certain quarterly requirements. By reaching out to my neighboring communities, I am hoping to find some individuals who can help fulfill these rerquirements and help me graduate! Because the dental clinic at LWTech is a learning institution, appointments can take longer than you would typically experience in a private practice. However, our rates are less expensive than private practice (we also take most insurances!) and my work is checked frequently by board certified and registered dental hygienists, so you would still be recieving excellent quality care. If you are interested in becoming a patient, please contact me directly to schedule your appointment. After reading through this page, please contact me if you have any questions. I can also answer some insurance/ cost questions, so please do not hesitate to reach out and ask!

The first appointment is a free screening/ consultation appointment and typically lasts about 30 minutes. This is NOT a cleaning appointment. It is where I take a brief look in your mouth to determine whether or not you qualify for the quarters requirements. Our requirements change each quarter, so even if you don't qualify for the current quarter, you might for the following quarter :-) Again, this is a fairly quick appointment and is no cost to you!
The actual hygiene (cleaning) appointments are about two hours long each visit, and can take up to four visits total. These appointments are not free (see clinic fees below). These appointments include all of the following:
-Full mouth x-rays
-An intra-oral and extra-oral examination (aka a cancer screening)
-Periodontal examination to determine the health of your gums
-Doctors exam
-Cleaning appointment
-Fluoride application
If during the doctors exam, it is determined that you have restorative work that needs to be done and you wish to do it with our clinic, that would be an additional appointment on top of the hygiene appointments. Restorative appoinmtents consist of one appointment that can take up to three hours and have seperate fees associated with them (they are not included in the hygiene/ cleaning fee). The time commitment and cost is dependent on the type of filling being done. There is no obligation to have any restorative work done by me unless you would like to! Again, our rates are less expensive than you would find in a private practice setting :-)
*Note: These are the "out-of-pocket" fees, meaning these are the costs before insurance is billed. If you do not have insurance, these are the fees you would be charged. For those using their insurance, these fees do not take into account personal and/ or family deductibles.
